Sung is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Materials Science & Engineering at Ajou University, where he directs the M-Square Laboratory. Sung joined WashU in 2017 and worked in our group as a postdoctoral scholar until August 2018. He received his Ph.D from Hanyang University in Feb. 2017 studying band engineering of 2D materials and polar oxides using DFT. After his postdoc, he moved to Korea Institute of Ceramic Engineering and Technology as a Staff Scientist.
