Arashdeep came to us with a bachelors degree in Ceramic Engineering from IIT (BHU), Varanasi, India. He joined the IMSE PhD program in Fall 2015 and was the 1st student to join M-cube. He defended his thesis entitled “Rational Design and Optimization of Perovskite Semiconductors” in Spring 2021. During his PhD, he spent ~4 yrs at ORNL carrying out microscopy experiments. For his research, he received the MRS Graduate Student Silver Award in Spring 2019.
After graduation, he moved to the group of Prof. Robert Klie at UIC for a postdoc.
