Steven Hartman graduated from Cedarville University in 2016 with a B.S. in chemistry; his undergraduate research used DFT to simulate the addition of lithium to battery electrodes. He started the IMSE PhD program in Fall 2016.
Steven graduated with a PhD in 2020. His thesis is entitled “First-principles studies of anion engineering in functional ceramics”. After graduating, he joined Los Alamos National Laboratory for a postdoc. He currently works as a predictive analyst at Farmers Insurance.
